Looking for Draper James inspiration? Draper James dresses are a favorite here. Reese Witherspoon’s brand is celebrating five years, and we marked the milestone with a blue gingham cake and a cheerful gathering.

It’s been a little while since I posted, friends. As my schedule has slowed this season, I was thrilled to take part in Draper James’ fifth anniversary celebration. This milestone means a lot for an iconic, thoughtfully curated brand, and of course we celebrated with cake, balloons, and lots of gingham.

Draper James Anniversary
Draper James has long been my go-to for gingham and classic Southern-inspired pieces. I admire everything Reese creates, and collaborating with the brand to celebrate this anniversary was a dream. I was genuinely thrilled to join in the festivities and help honor five years of thoughtful design and joyful style. If you follow Draper James or subscribe to their newsletter, you may have already seen some of this collaboration, but I’m happy to share a few more details here.

Draper James Summer Line
I received a preview of the summer collection, and it’s full of bright, wearable pieces. I tried on several dresses and fell for the Blue Floral—the fabric is light, flowy, and comfortable. It’s versatile enough for an evening barbecue or a Sunday morning service. The collection also features chambray, denim accents, and a variety of floral prints that feel fresh and feminine for warm-weather wardrobes.

Draper James Cake
To add a festive touch, I collaborated on the cake design with a local bakery and sourced balloons to match the celebration. We pulled inspiration from Draper James storefronts—bringing in the signature blue awning, gingham motif, and the brand’s bright, cheerful palette. Many of the boutiques celebrate Southern hospitality in small ways, and that spirit informed our design choices. The cake itself was a white cake filled with strawberry lemonade—light, sweet, and a lovely complement to the visual design. It was the perfect confection for a birthday party honoring a beloved brand.

I’ve loved watching Draper James grow over the past five years. Branding is a personal passion of mine, and seeing a brand that consistently delivers a clear, joyful identity truly delights me. It was an honor to collaborate on this celebration and to join in applauding five years of thoughtful design, Southern charm, and timeless style. Here’s to many more years—cheers to five, sisters!
