PEEPs Rice Krispie Treats

A fun and colorful Easter treat that’s quick to make and perfect for sharing.

Equipment

  • 9 x 13 baking pan

Ingredients

  • 20-25 Peeps (any color or combination)
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), cut into thin pats
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the Peeps in the pan in any pattern or color combination you like.
  • Evenly sprinkle 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal over the Peeps.
  • Place the thin pats of butter on top of the cereal and Peeps so the butter will melt and help bind the mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, until the Peeps and butter have melted. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately stir everything together, pressing the mixture down into an even layer. For thicker bars, pull the mixture slightly away from the pan edges before pressing. Allow to cool and set before cutting and serving.
