I’m a devoted eggnog fan. To me, eggnog is synonymous with the holidays: rich, creamy, and comfortingly spiced, often enhanced with a splash of bourbon. It’s the cozy, festive drink I look forward to each season.

Because I also love cold brew coffee, it felt natural to combine the two. The result is a delightful balance of creamy eggnog, warm spices, a touch of bourbon, and a clean cold-brew kick — holiday flavors amplified by caffeine.

Full disclosure: I’m not a daily coffee drinker. My partner prefers coffee black with a hint of chai, while I lean toward lattes, cappuccinos, and flavored cold brews that deliver a gentle lift without heavy espresso bitterness. Since discovering cold brew, I’ve been hooked — it’s smooth, flavorful, and a treat I reach for on weekend café runs.

For this recipe I spiced the coffee grounds with cinnamon and nutmeg before brewing. That little extra step layers seasonal warmth into the concentrate so it harmonizes beautifully with eggnog and bourbon.
