Most visitors come to Simple Nourished Living looking for a recipe, and I’m happy to provide them. Since 2012 I’ve shared many WW-friendly recipes that make healthy eating approachable and enjoyable.
There are times I’m tempted to publish only recipes because they attract more traffic, are shared widely, and are easier to write than more personal posts like this one.

But as a lifetime Weight Watcher committed to helping people live happier, healthier, more balanced lives, I can’t pretend that lasting weight loss is solved by the next trendy diet or a lighter cake recipe. Real, long-term change goes beyond food and points.
Lasting weight loss is a body, mind, and spirit proposition.

What you eat and the recipes you make matter, but they are only one piece of the puzzle — often a smaller piece than new dieters expect. When you begin a journey toward lasting weight loss, it helps to look beyond meals to the habits, beliefs, and supports that shape your choices.
That’s why I also share weight loss articles, practical tips, curated resources, and inspiring success stories. These extras are designed to support the habits, mindset, and routines that make healthy eating sustainable.
To help people build momentum, I created the 28-day Smart Start Weight Loss eCourse and eBook — a focused plan to get you past the two-week slump that sends many people back to old patterns.
I was reminded of the importance of a wider perspective at my weekly weight loss and healthy living meeting. Each Friday, my mom, sister, and a few neighbors and friends gather at noon to encourage one another as we work toward better eating, fitness, and overall health.

As we shared wins and struggles, it became clear that many challenges extend far beyond food: chronic health problems, family dynamics, work stress, relationship struggles, self-image and self-worth issues, and difficulty setting boundaries. These areas influence how and why we eat, and they won’t be fixed by the mantra “eat less, move more” alone.
Taking time each week to address health and weight holistically provides clarity and perspective. When we consider the bigger picture, our relationship with food changes along with our relationship with ourselves and others. That shift creates an environment where healthy habits are more likely to stick.
So even if you arrived here searching for recipes, I hope you’ll stay for the ongoing encouragement, support, and understanding that help people reach their goals sustainably.
Because lasting change requires more than recipes, you’ll also find weight loss articles and tips, lists of helpful resources, and inspiring success stories here on Simple Nourished Living.
