Almond Butter Date Shake
This Almond Butter Date Shake is a creamy, dessert-like pick-me-up that works great as a protein-rich snack or a post-workout recovery drink. It’s simple to make with pantry staples and comes together in minutes—perfect for busy days.
This post was part of a sponsored campaign with California Almonds. As a participant in the Healthy Aperture Blogger Network’s #CrunchOn campaign, I was compensated and received samples for recipe testing.

We recently moved, and for a while my kitchen was in boxes. Luckily I kept my blender accessible so I could still make quick, nourishing snacks like this shake. Medjool dates and almond butter are pantry-friendly ingredients that make this recipe especially convenient when grocery runs are limited.

I’ve made this shake many times—what I love most is the rich, satisfying creaminess the almond butter adds. Almonds are a nutrient-dense snack: an ounce provides protein, fiber, heart-healthy fats, and meaningful amounts of vitamin E, magnesium, and calcium. Almond butter keeps you full and adds a delicious nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with dates and vanilla protein.

This is a dependable recipe I reach for often. It’s quick to blend, balanced for taste and texture, and easy to customize—use your favorite almond milk, swap the protein powder, or add a splash of unsweetened cocoa for a chocolate twist.
Enjoy!
